The wildflowers are coming out in droves right now. I don't plant any other kind of flowers. Just a waste of money! The wildflowers are hardy enough to withstand the dogs!

This is an Arctic Poppy. They come in several colors. I have this yellow and orange in my yard.

The orange ones. Haven't found any white ones yet.

I don't know what this one is called, but it is thriving in Chase and Goldie's pen!

These are Wild Blue Lupine. They are the most common wildflower around here. Earle likes to eat them! Makes for pretty colored puke!

The forest floor looks almost all blue in some places right now!

Some bluebells.

There are two kinds of these little purple flowers around. These ones look like stars.

And these have rounded petals. They grow in clumps quite low to the ground.

And these tiny white flowers will eventually become lowbush cranberries! Yum!!!

I love your photos! Although we often see some spectacular wildflowers on our hikes around B.C., I cannot seem to get photos quite as spectacular as yours. What a treat - thank you so much.

Pretty pictures. I always try to identify every little flower that pops up. Here's the website I use. http://www.dclunie.com/eshelton/wildflow/wildind.html
I've only seen devil's paintbrush once in my life and I so want to find more.

Yup, it's wild lupine. Grows everywhere here! The seeds will be out in about a month. PM me your address and I'd be glad to send some to you.

You have some beautiful wild flowers! Some there that I don't know, but then you would expect the flowers there to be a bit different from ours! :D
