Sorry I just need to vent....I was walking Nikka and Hunter and our neighbors lab came charging out of the bushes at us. I've had problems with this dog before and I know it's aggressive to both people and dogs. It lunged for both Hunter and Nikka, I'm yelling at the top of my lungs and yanking my dogs back and the owner comes out of the house (their house is up a hill with a long driveway) calling her dog. I understand accidents happen, dogs get out, but this isn't the first time this dog has done this. Her reasoning for the dog being loose...."I have a 4 year old". Luckily neither Hunter nor Nikka are dog aggressive (they won't back down, but they won't attack either) and because I've had problems before with loose dogs both wear pinch collars and are on 4 foot leashes close to my side so no one was hurt. I was just beyond mad. Sorry just needed to vent, I can't stand when people don't control their dogs!!

I know exactly what you mean. Worse yet when the dog is running
loose & there is no one at home to take care of the dog.Every spring we
have more problems with loose dogs who are unneutered & looking for mates.

This is one of the worst things to encounter when I walk my dogs too.I
think the lady using a small child as an excuse is pretty lame & wouldn't
fly with any animal control department.
