And he's knocking right on my door. We're right in the middle of the projected path.

I HATE living in Florida with a passion.

You can come to my house Kay. I'm quite a ways inland. :)

I hate to see it starting so soon. I know "hurrican season" starts June 1, but it seems like it is usually late July/early August before they really start forming. This early does not bode well for the season.

Stay safe everyone!

Yes, I am aware of your Hurricane Season . I talked to my daughter in Florida today. she told me that there are Tropical Storm watches and warnings posted for central Florida, and currently the outer bands are causing high wind gusts, & heavy rain from time to time.

Since last year :( , this whole country watches the weather channel diligently.

Well he is almost a hurricane. We have a hurricane warning in our area now. It's raining and looks dreadful outside. The only good thing is that it will help out all those firefighters with the brush fires.

Yeah.. and may I remind everyone to TURN YOUR FREAKING WINDSHIELD WIPERS OFF WHILE IN DRIVE-THRUS!!!!

I was drenched all day thanks to some of the idiots. Rained non-stop today!

Thanks. Looks like it's starting to sprinkle outside. It's been dark all day.

There's already talk of closing down state offices and stores tomorrow. I think Katrina has really scared the cahootee out of everyone!

"Locally heavy downpours will soak northern Florida and extreme southern Georgia over the next couple of days."

Great, my neighborhood will be flooded again  :(

So sick of storms!(South Florida) 2004 Francis and Jean did a number on my roof and it took more than a year to get all the damage fixed. Well, at least we got new metal shutters set up for the season. I hope we're not without electricity for weeks again. Florida has been my home for 46 years, and there was only 1 really bad storm when I was a kid, but 2004 and 2005 storms kicked our asses over here. I can only hope it will be calmer this year.

Got another message from my daughter, I'm sure all of you down there already know more than I do right now

Since the last HURRICANE SEASON, worst yet to date, living down your way is nail clenching.

I've been tuning into the weather channel on television ---looks like Alberto could be a beast.

We are thinking of you up here in Michigan. Stay safe :(

The power has flickered a few times here. It's been raining for hours but just started pouring about 30 minutes ago. Luka is not happy. Our neighborhood will probably be flooded tomorrow and I won't be able to go to work, even though my work is literally right outside my neighborhood

Our power went out for a few hours last night. It has rained heavily here for about 18 hours now.

And just like I thought would happen, there was a nice big limb in our pool this morning.

Kay, I hope you are safe.
