YEAHHHHHHHH!!! Today was the women's finals on the Grand Slam tournament in Paris! Guess who won????
BELGIUM !!! with our Justine Henin-Hardenne!!
This is the 3rd time she won this tournament!!And her 5th Grand Slam!!

She beat our other Belgium topplayer Kim Clijsters (World #2) in the semi-finals!!

He he, I am a bit ashamed that Belgium is NOT selected for the World Cup Soccer :o , but at least Belgium has VERY good tennis-players :) :) :)

Who else is a tennis fan here????

:D I like tennis too. I didn't hear the men's semi-final result from yesterday with all the &%($£&%!(*$!" football. Who is in the men's final?

It is Federer against Nadal!!! Will give fireworks!!!!

It is easy here : who wants to see tennis stays downstairs in the livingroom.http://users.pandora.be/bernardgabriels/images/smilies%20155%20tennis.gif
who wants soccer goes upstairs to the "hobbyroom"http://users.pandora.be/bernardgabriels/images/smilies%20128%20voetbal.gif

I love tennis! :D

Our David Nalbandian played against Federer yesterday, but he had to leave the match because of an injury :(

Now it's Federer against Nadal, and I really want to see Nadal win! He's an awesome player...

I agree with you, Nalbandian is a very talented player; I hope that his injury isn't to bad.... :(

I haven't heard too much about the tennis as everything is football orientated in the house at the moment;) , but I like tennis. I probably enjoy playing it more than watching it though:)

I just saw it in the news - Congrats!! :)

I used to watch a lot of tennis in the 80s and 90s, but I was never a fan of the German top players, Boris Becker and Steffi Graf.

You didn't like Steffi Graf  ? She was very talented and I loved to see her play! But BB, no, didn't like him very much either :D

Well, in the 80s, there were some years when she won literally EVERY tournament, which was really boring. I remember she was once defeted in the Finals of the French Open by Aranxia Sanchez (or was it Monica Seles, I'm not sure), and I thought that was cool.

She always seemed to be too eager to win, I didn't like that.

I don't play tennis but dabble in raquetball. Now that is a fun game

Anybody watched the men's finals today? They were both very good, but young Nadal won, very deserved!!!

I didn't see it, Lut. I was out, but heard the result of the first set, which was a bit of a shocker. Next time I got back in the car, Nadal had won!

We've got the big ladies pre-Wimbledon tournament starting in Eastbourne on Saturday so it will be tennis and football for quite some time!!!

Doubt we'll be supporting Andy Murray though...............

I just had a little feeling that it might be aimed at me.

So will you be miffed when Henman loses to Agassi this afternoon?

Absolutely not - I love Agassi, Henman is tooooo hopeless for words

He's not THAT bad. The weight of expectation is perhaps a little in excess of his talent.
He's just taken the first set.

The Men's Final was great!! Reminded me of the wonderful matches between Borg and McEnroe way back when.

Congratulations on winning the Women's Final. Justine is so slight appearing, but she sure kicks butt!
