I'm asking that you keep me in your thoughts tomorrow morning.

I've been having pains in my throat for the past month or more. It's not sore at all, and I haven't had the flu or anything. I went to see my doctor, and he thought it may have been my thyroid. I got blood work done for that, and was told I would get a call when the report came in.

I got a call today, and was told that my thyroid is normal but something else showed up, and to come see him tomorrow morning. I'm thinking(hoping?) it's nothing, but am scared to death...

Please keep me in your thoughts/prayers.

Robyn

Robyn, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know how scarey such a call can be. Just try to keep your mind busy with other things and hopefully tomorrow you'll find out that it is nothing serious at all. I hope you'll let us know how things go. {{{HUGS}}}

Robyn try not to stress. A lot of times they have you worried to death over nothing but you know I'll be thinking of you. Let us know the results when you can.

My good cholesterol is low. Why can't they tell you these things over the phone? :rolleyes:. I couldn't sleep last night, and it was just cholesterol :o

Thanks for thinking of me though, guys. {{{Hugs}}}

Because they deal with this day to day they forget that the poor soul on the other end is hearing it for the first time. Hope you feel much better now

I'm glad it wasn't anything more. It does stink that they have to worry you for a day though.

Of course, that is wonderful that it isn't your thyroid, but, why would low cholesterol be a problem, or cause your throat to hurt?

Thanks all. I do feel better now, but I was preparing for the worst...all night:p

I should have explained more :o. I know that low bad cholesterol is good, but low good cholesterol isn't as good. Also, that isn't bothering my throat. He still wants to send me for a thyroid scan.

My throat almost stopped paining completely, since my parents have started smoking outside. I told them how it usually started when I was near smoke. It took 19 years, and horrible throat pain :rolleyes:, but they don't smoke inside, now.
