A while back, while under a lot of stress, I had a series of nightmares that incorporated Pet Talk and Pet Talk personalities in them. Someone else PM'ed me today that "I" had featured in a dream of hers. Perhaps others have had this experience, too. Have you?

In one of my dreams, a young PTer and her dog (KayAnn and Simba?) needed my help to traverse a war zone. We three were wearing combat helmets and I was driving us in a jeep through a battle zone that looked a lot like WWII movies with explosions all around and tracer smoke evilly lighting the sky. Note: there are probably many more qualified drivers than I on these boards. May none of us ever need this particular skill set!

In another, even more bizarre dream/nightmare, Sara (Edwina's Secretary) and I were in a vicious writing duel!!! Fortunately I've forgotten the precise details. We were however severely repremanded for being poor citizens of PetTalkVille as I recall. In my waking life, I admire Sara intensely and have no idea why my subconscious would pick on her so :o !

Does PT or any of the PT citizens figure in YOUR dreams?

I've had a few Pet Talk dreams and nightmares before but I can't seem to recall any of them right now.

This should be an interesting thread :)

I haven't had dreams of Pet Talk people, but I have had dreams of my pets. The one I recall most (my family knows about it, so I doubt I will ever live it down) :D is a dream that Jackson (our alpha cat) talks to me, and tells me that Rosie (another cat) didn't like anyone in the family! :(

LOL thought you might get a kick out of this...

I was dreaming I was taking one of today's finals (the prof. set me aside a special room and more time b/c of the arm). anywho, I was feverishly working on a HARD test---decided to take a break so I got on petTalk--I was using a TYPEWRITER! Anywho, in the middle of a thread (can't remember which) you started giving out "silly" awards like:

*an award for the purr-son who has the most orange cats
*an award for who buys the most litter per month
*an award for the purr-son most likely to be in a cast/splint (guess who got that one lol)

and the list goes on--I think you figured out an award for every "regular" member on PT.

BUT WAIT...IT GETS BETTER...(or stranger...however you wanna look at it :D )

all of a sudden, sophie comes runnin' full tilt down the hall to the room I'm in, screaming "MOM! MOMM! I've got the answers! I know the amswers!" (yeah...a talking bunny and your awards are what strike me as funnie lol  ) I picked her up and she was kissin' me all over the face...

woke up to bunny kisses all over my nose/cheek and..."what's that smell? doesn't smell bad...just strange....not a bedroom smell"....roll over...there's a strawberry on my pillow...I thought the twirp ate it last night...guess she hid it for safe keeping and brought me breakfast in bed (only other pet owners would consider this a SWEET gesture...esp. since my white pillow case is a goner....lol)

this is the only PT dream i've had--or at least the only one I can 'member...

By any chance do you recall if Jackson was in your bedroom that night whispering?

Hee, hee, hee! (You know: I'm the good cat, I deserve my treats AND Rosie's treats. Rosie doesn't like ANYBODY and doesn't deserve treats.) ;)

I'm impressed that you were able to type it at all with your big day ahead of you and with an injured elbow! I'm glad your idea suggested the thread. I was afraid that dreams of PT would be thought kind of peculiar. Um, though you may well have already thought that about me, come to think of it... ;) :p

A while ago I dreamt about a furkid of a PT member. It was not a pleasant dream and since the pet in question has had health problems in the past I rather not go too much into it, I don't want to upset anyone. The first thing I did in the morning was to quickly check in the health section to see if something happen, since it did happen to me before that I dreamt something that did come true the following morning.

On a lighter note...

yeah...a talking bunny

Everytime I think of Sophie I DO think of her as a talking bunny and if I will ever meet her I would find it strange to find out that she doesn't. :D Or does she?

What I find most amazing is that we can dream about someone we have never met or seen and know it is that person. Intriguing isn't it?

I was thinking about this on my drive last night (it was the last thing I read before bolting...) How well do you believe you can "picture" people from reading what they write? (Okay...there is the occasion glimpse of an arm or leg or lock of hair that adds a clue.)

I have dreamed a few times about pet talkers and their pets but don't recall either what they were but one was about Jackiesdaisy. I find it strange when you dream about someone you haven't seen for ages and and the next day or so you see them or hear from them! Awhile back I had a dream about a lady in town cat and I had not seen this cat around for a long long time and the next day I looked out and kitty cat was in my driveway!!!!

Thanks for posting this, ZK. I do find the topic of dreams quite interesting! Great thread!!
I looked at that website, and it talked about common dreams. One was about losing teeth! I've had so many dreams about losing teeth, and didn't think that they were common! I was surprised to see that one there! Weird!
I'm sure I've had dreams about PTers, but can't remember any at the moment. But, you can bet your booties that I'll try and remember so I can post it here!
Edwina's, I know what you mean about how you can 'picture' a person you've never even met...just according to how they write and all. For me, it's like whenever I read a book. I have a clear picture in my mind what all the characters look like and what the surroundings look like. I was a little hesitant to go and see Harry Potter when it came out, because I might be disappointed with how the characters were portrayed if they didn't match how I pictured them when I read the story. Needless to say, I did give in and went and saw the movie. It was good, and overall I was pleased with the choice of characters. I think I pictured only a couple of the characters differently. LOL LOL
sammi, kind of along the same lines of what you talked about, I've had dreams about people I hadn't seen or spoken to in a long time. Only, after the dream, I would get in touch with that person by phone or email. I don't know if it's just my conscious telling me, you should really get in touch with this person because it's been so long. I tend to get out of touch with people since I'm so busy these days, but these dreams sometimes just knock some sense into me, you know??!!
Gio, I've had premonition dreams too! Probably about 3 times in my life...and they were all about something bad! It's weird to think that my conscious is warning me of bad things to come and all, but why has it only happened 3 times, for unrelated bad events in my life?? Every now and then when I have a bad dream, I'll get worried because I don't want it to come true! Anyway, the last time I had one of those was probably my senior year in college...
Fascinating dreams are!
