We are taking a LONG vacation (3 weeks) and one of our stops is Las Vegas. We will be there the 9th and 10th, possibly the 11th. We are leaving here on Saturday. I have been to Las Vegas before a couple of years ago, but we are trying to figure out which hotel we want to stay at. Last time we went there, we stayed at the Excalibur (http://www.excalibur.com/) and that was very neat. This year we are thinking about staying at the new hotel: South Coast (http://www.southcoastcasino.com/) the are going to be having the National Barrel Horse Association barrel races there at that time.

If you have been to Las Vegas, which hotel would you recomend we stay at??

We stayed in the Luxor - the giant black glass pyramid - one night, that was cool, and then at Bally's another night, which was also nice. Don't miss the white tigers in their excellent habitat at the Secret Garden, and the dolphins there, too!

I remeber seeing the Dolphins and the white tigers last time they were thier. I LOVE the set-up at the Mirage, the tigers looked likes Kings with their gigantic pool and their "thrones". I remeber something with Dolphins at the Mirage, but I can't quite picture it. :o

I first went to Vegas a couple of years ago. Only went to meet a friend that was over from the UK and thought I'd HATE it. Well boy was I wrong...LUUUUUUUUVVVV it!! The free stuff is the best. On the strip you can see the Dancing Fountains at the Bellagio (my fave!), The Venician has gondolas, NYNY is just like the city only clean! We stayed at the MGM and when we came in I heard the lions and thought "oh that's kewl they have those sounds coming over the sound system"..walking to our room I looked up and there were these BEAUTIFUL lions roaring!! for real!! Ha...it was a surreal experience and I can't wait to go again.
My little sister now lives there so we'll be going soon to visit. Super fun. You'll LOVE it too!!

PS If I could stay anywhere this time it would be the Hard Rock though it's off the strip. Sounds like there are always interesting people there!

It is one ticket that gets you into The Secret Garden and the dolphin habitat, and it is well worth the extra money, as they have the best Tiger habitat I have ever seen, better even than the International Exotic Feline Sanctuary that we visited in Texas for the first-ever Pet Talk gathering.

There's also a cool aquarium at Mandalay Bay, and when we were there, we saw the Birdman of Las Vegas, and I got to have the bird land on my arm and everything!

Ok, NOW I remeber the dolphins and the garden. I wasn't sure if that was at the Mirage or not. I can't wait to go on our vacation. I want a new camera SO bad before we leave..but I dont think that is going to happen :o darn it anyways. I will post LOTS of pictures when we get back. :)
