Doubt anyone cares, but here are some pictures of my little adventure.

(incase you missed it, I'm working on a farm till near the end of June. I found it on wwoofers.com. It's a place on PEI. It's called Pioneer Farm. It's a little buisness. It offers wagon rides, llama treks, and even has a guest cottage you can rent and take part in a much or as little farm work as you want. It's very relaxing out there and plenty to do and lots of animals to see. It's a unique experience. I suggest you check it out if ever on PEI)

Simon had never been packed or taken on a llama trek. PLUS he doesn't get along with Breton! Anyway, he did wonderful, and got along fine with Breton. It was training for him. (llama trekking is packing a llama with your lunch and stuff, and walking down to a nice area and having a picnic. It was wonderful)

Awesome, awesome, awesome pictures! You are such a wonderful photographer! You use the Rebel right?

That place is so gorgeous! It looks like my dream home. Water, a farm, animals! That's all I need to be happy :D

The animals are all beautiful and they look like they're well taken care of. It looks like you're having a great time. Next time you go, drag me along too okay? ;)

Oh, and what is PEI? :o

It really is amazing. I live in the city, so it's a lot different to me. This place is kinda in the middle of no where. It is about 10 mins from a small town, so that is great. But it's nice to not have to worry about cars driving by all the time or theives or anything. It's nice to see the stars with no light pollution. It's nice to have PEACE and quiet!! It's so relaxing. This place is a dream to me, and I hope to someday have something similar.

(sarah, fly up tomorrow and you can come with me ;))

I'm so happy that you were able to find a placement that you enjoy! I can imagine that you will miss the place. Wonderful pics...I love the kittens, but I can't get enough of all the animals. I never get to see such an assortment living in Toronto (well, there are some weird people if you count those)! ;)

If you weren't so far away I'd come join you! :D That reminds me that I have to come visit the east coast again.

Oh, and what is PEI?

Prince Edward Island - a province on the east coast of Canada. ;)

O MY GOD

Do you realize how GOOD these pictures are?!?! You know how hard it is to get good pictures of farm animals?!? They are GREAT!! OMG, lol, sorry, but I think these pictures are probably..the best pictures of farm animals I've ever seen. It is SO hard to try and get some people (city people) to understand life on a farm (I live on a big farm) and these pictures explain it all! They are AMAZING. What a BEAUTIFUL view! I love the farm, and the fence, and all the animals are beautiful! You should take me with you!! ;) :D

Wow! Those are truly beautiful pictures and I have to agree with Toby's my Baby's sentiments. Those pictures give you such a peaceful and rustic feeling. It gives you such an insight into what "farmlife" is really like. You're excellent advertising because now I desperately want to go :D

Hehe, you should go. It's quite the experience.

I'm glad that I captured the relaxed feeling of the farm.It truely is a wonderful place. It helps that the animals are so photogenic! I plan to get pics of the horses hitched too before I leave. I forgot to get my camera both times.

I can't believe I missed this thread! :o
ALL the pictures are gorgeous!! I would do anything to be where you are at now!
Aww, I love how Jethro has little white peices of hair in his mane, but... why not many of the pigs? ;) I know they're a bit dirty, but I love them! (minus the over-protective sows with babies).
Man, your farm experience makes mine look sooo boring! The only animals they had on the farm I went to was cows and cats (and one goose x_x).
Anyway, WONDEFUL pictures, I enjoyed each and everyone of them!

Those are some GREAT Pictures!!! Loved them all!!! Great job taking them too!

My llama has a halter identical to Breton's. I loved looking at the llama pics definately!!! And I think they looked great packing too. I don't do lots of packing with mine, but she is trained to pack.

The goats are awesome too. Since we have a herd of 50 here, I can honestly say I can definately picture a goat laying in the hay rack area like that. Ours LOVE to get into anything and everything they can.

Great pics!!

Doubt anyone cares, but here are some pictures of my little adventure.

Audrey, are you crazy? Not only do we care, we appreciate you sharing this with us, and it is more than a little adventure. It is an exciting, amazing opportunity to be able to work with and relate to these different animals on a daily basis and to intimately enjoy the wonder of nature. Not only that but you are really exploring an entirely different lifestyle. I grew up on a dairy farm so maybe I am more excited about all this than the average person, but I dare to say you are among a bunch of fanatic animal lovers here.

Your pictures are just the best, and give us a glimpse of the peace and serenity of your environment. All I can say is WOW! Thanks you for sharing so much. It's just been wonderful. Please continue, and most of all congrats again on your adventuresome spirit. As I would say to Hannah, *Good Girl*.

Yes, I know they are smart. I still don't want to get attached to them.

I don't know what I'll do come the end of the month. I'll miss everyone. Coco might be pregnant again, and she said she wants to breed April to a breath taking Canadian stallion (he is BEAUTIFUL. I may see him again and try to take pictures of him) I would love to see their foal...It wouldn't be born till next year though.

Lizbud, It's a fly screen to keep the flies and dirt out of the horses eyes when they are turned out in the field. My friend uses them on her horses when the flies are bad, it's not good to get fly spray around the horses eyes. They can still see through the mesh, it's like the horse is wearing shades.
Here is a link to one if you want more details.

It's called a fly mask. It keeps all the flys out of their eyes. They can be really bad. Don't worry though, they can see fine!

You would be amazed how wonderful it is here. They live off grid with all power from solar and wind. I really wish you all could experience this. (hey, come on down and rent the guest cottage!!)

She's getting 100 chicks tomorrow...so that should be an experience! I'm excited about possibly riding Jethro. If it goes well, I'll seriously reconsider riding lessons.

I have to admit Lama's scare me to death. Pigs are definitely one of my favorite farm animals! I used to volunteer on a large farm. They had pigs, horses, chickens, donkeys, ponies and Lama's. I loved the pigs and the horse's so much.

Wonderful pictures! You are a very talented photographer and I hope you take more pictures so we can see more of these wonderful animals and your amazing abilities.
