Snow cat fur

Now that Snow cat has shed his winter coat, I notice that his fur is extra short. I doubt that there is a link of fur that is over 1/2 inch long! When you pick up all 8 lbs. of him, all you feel is warmth and muscle. Does anyone have a furkid with this kind of coat? Personally, I have never seen, much less "owned", a cat with this short of fur.:)

Both my cats have LONG hair, but an ex-boyfriend of mine had a Burmise (spelling?) that had a very short coat like that. he was also quite muscular.
He had a great personality too- smart, friendly, loved peolpe & DOGS :)
