The only petstore I know of that sells shelter pets is petsmart, where they sell kitties.

Awesome! We have a PETCO at our mall that has rescue dogs there every once and a while. The last few times I have been there there have been Boxers and Greyhounds... :)

lots of malls allow dogs. when i worked at a mall in Tenneessee people brought their dogs all the time. not normally big dogs, but dogs in purses and people holding them. i used this to my advantage. i would walk the puppies from the petstore to get their excersize and socailize.

How cool!! We used to take snuggles to our mall but stopped. we were taking her somewhere else too and there they asked us to stop :mad: So we stopped taking her :(

where was it that they asked you to stop comming in with the dog? it might have been a health hazard. we can't have animals at our tattoo shop because everything is STERAL.

another good thing about taking dogs out in public is you get to educate people about the breed and dogs in general. there were lots of times when i was walking the puppies that people would stop me and we'd talk about the breed.

I did see a couple of "pocket book dogs" at the Christmas Tree Shop once. But not in the mall.
