I've been innundated with portraits the past few weeks, and here's one I just finished. I hardly ever do dogs, so I thought everyone might enjoy the rare doggy portrait I did! :D :p

I wish my scanner bed was larger, as this one barely fit, and my signature was cropped off. Oh well, I like how little Harlan the pug turned out. He was a lot of fun ot do, and a nice break from babies and cats ;)

Now off to do a portrait of a baseball player from the early 1900's -- he's actually going to be published in a book! :D Woohoo! I might not be making any serious money off my portraits, but I sure am starting to get exposure! :)

WOW! That drawing is great! It looks just like my ex-husband's parents dog, Buffy! She was a cutie, but has been gone for many years now.

You are a great artist! I always enjoy seeing your drawings!

The Pug is very well done. Do you work from photos? I wish you could
get more exposure, those would definately sell themselves.Good job.

Yup, from photos. I prefer to meet the pet myself and work from my own photos, but thats not ever possible. The photos I get of animals are typically pretty bad. This one was drawn from a taken by a camera phone!

I need to expose myself more. One of my students wants me to do her poodles and I just spoke to someone who owns a pet spa down the street.... so I want to take my portfolio to them tomorrow.

I think you have an awesome talent. You really should advertise and get your name out there. I remember when you posted the drawing of one of your cats under the light. It was awesome. I think you also posted one of another cat if I remember right. How much do you charge for an animal portrait?

Fantastic!

Silly! If we meet in July, I assure you that I will be modestly dressed, even on the beach! ;)
