Dear Diary,

I was outside in the yard with Blondie and I was being SUCH a good boy (she even said so!) Wandering around.....looking here, looking there...you know, cat stuff!

Then I saw a special friend of mine....Birdie. I ran over to greet her and bring her back to introduce to Blondie. First Blondie says ..."not when I am on the phone with a client!" I guess all the yelling at me she did was baffling to her client. How does she think I felt????? Then when she shook me and made me drop poor Birdie.  Poor Birdie flew away....probably didn't think Blondie very sociable!

Anyway....Blondie says I should be ashamed.

What do you think?

Pensively

Eddie, We Are Hunters.
And As Much As A Lot Of Our Guardians Want To Make Us Into Cute Little Pet, The Blood Of The Panther Is In Us.
As Blondie If She Is Familiar With The Expression, The Eye Of The Tiger.
We Think That You Should Never Be Ashamed Of Your Heritage.
Its That Dumb Birds Job To Fly Away.
You Are A Cat, Not A Teddy Bear.

NO need to be ashamed Eddie, stand PROUD and show you face! You did exactly what you were created to do. (I bet you just frightened Blondie and she thought you were going to hurt that birdie rather than just showing it to her)

Oh poor dear Eddie. There you were just introducing Blondie to some of the locals and look what you got.

Hang in there buddy.

I only can see Chicago arrogance in there- not wanting to meet the locals. Oh Eddie, you are soo different from Blondie- she could learn something from you :p

Poor Eddie, your meowmie needs an updated "cat-manual"!! She needs to know that you only wanted to socialise with that birdie; You NEVER had the intention of hurting that cutie, right?? :)

Awww, Eddie, you poor misunderstood little guy! What was Blondie thinking... yelling at you to let the little birdie go??? She has forgotten that this is what you are meant to do! She must have just been pre-occupied with talking to her client on the phone!

I agree with everyone, Eddie, it was just a matter of bad timing. If Blondie hadn't been preoccupied she could have seen that you were just trying to make another friend. However....I have to say I'm glad you're not at our house these days. I have a new baby bunny friend who is the most adorable thing I've seen in a long time, and I wouldn't want to scare him by having you as a welcoming committee. ;) :D

Poor Eddie, you are SUCH a friendly boy! You must be a very popular addition to the neighbourhood, not at all like my girls. I think you are very misunderstood. Why not come and live with me?

Oh Eddie, I think you're misunderstood ... just like me. There you are, befriending a cute little bird and Blondie expects the worst! I'm sure it was your intention to give the bird to her as a present - not that I agree that would be good idea!! ... but still, I know you meant well! ;)

My mom was about to get worried last night too, I was down checking the yard out, I had a lot to check out, as they had planted new flowers and rearranged things, so it took a while, but I was being a good boy, just as you are, and came up before 10 o'clock!

Poor boy - having your friendliness mistaken for malice!!

Somehow I don't think your pal Birdie will be hanging around for another meeting ;)

Aw, Eddie, I think it's better to be too friendly than give the impression you are stuck up! :D

Poor Eddie. Blonde obviously hasn't adjusted yet to the SoCal way of life. Don't feel ashamed. Just keep telling yourself that to have a friend, you have to be a friend.

Oh no Eddie, there's no reason for you to feel ashamed. You didn't do anything wrong. I think it was very considerate and polite to introduce your friend Birdie to Blondie. Maybe Blondie needs retraining at the Training Institute for Hoomins with Cats.
