Maggy was just diagnosed with dry eyes. No biggie, she just needs drops put in her eyes twice a day, but the drops are a little pricey. Nothing that will break the bank, but if there's a less expensive, equally effective alternate medication out there, I'm all for it. She's on Cyclosporin. Do you know of any alternatives?

Are you sure it's Cyclosporine?

Cyclosporine is a potent medication designed to suppress the immune system.

Have you thought about getting a Visene subsitute that is used for humans? May ask about that to another vet. There are some over the counter eye drops for dogs and cats at the pet store too. May try some of those.
The eye drops sound like something to prevent "spores" or bacterial infections in the eyes. My dog took something similar. He didn't have to take it long term.
What is the cause for the dry eyes? Is it allergies? or a tear duct issue? May be a surgery for the eye duct issue but it could be quite expensive or hard to find a vet in your area to do it.

Cyclosporine is prescribed to suppress the immune system in diseases such as immune mediated hemolytic anemia, perineal fistula, atopic dermatitis, and keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye).
