My girlfriend sent me this from OZ, and i was amazed that it really worked, give it a go.
YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that! you would like to
have chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator.

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 ....
If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number.

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND
WHILE IT LASTS

If you go into the formula you can see why it works:

If the number you chose is x, you double it, so you get 2 x
Then you add 5 and get 2 x + 5
Then you multiply it all by 50 and get (2x+5) * 50
That is 100 x +250
Then you either add 1755 or 1756
Means you have 100 x +250 + 1755
or
100x + 250 +1756
which is either 100x +2005 (if your birthday was not yet this year) or 100x+2006 (if your birthday was already this year).
You now can see that if you deduct your birth year from the 2005 or 2006 you obviously get your age.

And multiplying your chosen number x by 100 gets it at the first digit of the resulting 3 digit number.

Next year it will work again, but you'll have to add 1756 or 1757 ;)

That is excellent! And THANK YOU very much for the explaination, Barbara. I knew there had to be a reason it worked, but I could not figure it out.
