NEED HELP!!
So I have to draw a lens ray diagram

The directions state using graph paper and a ruler draw three principle rays to locate the image for each problem

Problem 1: A 1cm high object is placed 6cm in front of a converging lens of focal lenght 4cm

Problem 2: a 1cm high object is placed 6cm in front of a diverging lens of focal lens of focal lenght -4cm

I found that I simply can't explain it in words but the web has it all:
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hbase/geoopt/raydiag.html

diverging is convex, converging is concave.

Scroll down, the diagrams you need are those of an object outside the focal point (the focal point being 4 cm away from the lens and the object 6cm)

Barbara, I'm so glad you found something -- it all sounded like incomplete sentences to me! I had NO clue what they were asking for.

Ash is being homeschooled while she waits the last few weeks of her pregnancy and the physics teacher isn't telling her what she's doing wrong on her homework and tests... the tutor can't figure out whats going on in this chapter. Ash does feel better knowing the whole class pretty much was clueless like her.
