Chuck has terrible allergies and is pretty itchy and sneezy most of the time. I do have drops for his ears and clean them almost every day.

This morning I was holding him and noticed he has a small crusty dark red/blackish owie on his tummy. I haven't noticed him itching anymore than usual.

Should I be alarmed at this? I am planning on calling the vet. Just wondered if anyone of your cats have had this.

His hair is pretty long too. If that makes any difference.

Thanks!

I don't have a clue what it could be. Hopefully nothing more than he scratched himself. Could he have a hot spot type place? I've never seen them on cats but I remember my neighbor's St. Bernard would get them in the summer and they would have to shave her.

I hope the vet can help, please let us know what you find out.

Well frick! The vet can't see him till next week. :(

He is booked solid and he said it's a non-emergency. I wish there were pet med centers.

When The Found Cats Have Hot Spots There A Spray That Relieves The Symptoms.
I Am Sure That Most Pet Stores Carry It.

If you have a digital camera maybe it would help to post a picture and cross post this over in the cat health section...

Is he eating and drinking like normal? Does he seem to be as active? If he's still acting normal I wouldn't panic too much.

That is awful that your vet is booked that solid.

Hi Jazzcat. He seems fine in every way, not even itching more than normal.

I am gonna give him a allergy bath tonight and see it it helps.
