IMOM (http://www.imom.org/) is raising funds for Trixie (http://p088.ezboard.com/fimomcommunityfrm19.showMessage?topicID=876.topic) who needs surgery to repair a torn ACL. If you can help or know of GSD organizations that can, please post them on Trixie's thread over on IMOM.

From Trixie's family:
We rescued Trixie 4 years ago as a pet for our son Tyler. While I filled out the paperwork to adopt Trixie, Tyler and Trixie bonded, according to my son! They have been inseparable since then! She waits at the door for him to get home; they us ed to run outside and play, and she would jump in circles from excitement. Now she just wags her tail when he comes in, she can barely drag her back legs up from a laying position due to the pain in her injured knee. Tyler pets her head and kisses her, saying "We're gonna get you all better, girl". Trixie needs ACL surgery, also called TPLO. It is basically a torn tendon on her knee, making it hard to walk, and painful for her. The knee pops and cracks loudly now, when she walks outside. Shortly after we got Trixie, I was permanently injured, and have been unable to work since then. I've been through a lot of surgeries, and Trixie is always here with me, keeping me company and making me smile. She would even walk right next to me while I healed from spinal disc fusion, as if she would hold me up if I stumbled! Our Trixie is the happiest dog ever, and before she injured her leg, she was bouncing around, just glad to be a dog. Now all she can do is lay on the floor, day and night, and hobble out to do her duty outside, maybe lay on the grass to watch her dog friend next-door running around. We have to give her a chewable medicine every day, it costs $2/day, but it is well worth it to ease her pain. If she could get the surgery, she wouldn't need it anymore, because she would have no pain! Trixie used to come upstairs and jump in bed with our son, now she can't get up the stairs, so she sleeps downstairs all alone. We gave her a small foam couch for a soft resting spot, and she seems to like it. We just want to help her get better, and ease her pain, but we can't afford the surgery on my husbands small income, and I can't work anymore due to my injury. Please help us, help Trixie get her bounce back!

Just got word that additional funds are being raised by: http://www.oslf.org/ -- Orthodogs' Silver Lining Foundation
Keep them in mind if you ever have need of their services.
