I just registered and want to thank you all in advance for any help/insight you can provide. I have a 9yr old German Sheppard/ Black Lab mix named Summer. This morning she began to act abnormally and I am really concerned. She wont come when called (but she does acknoledge being called by looking and wagging her tail), for the most part she has stayed in the same spot all day (she has been up and around, just goes right back to the room she has been in all day). She does not appear tired, actually it just the opposite. She is intently looking around (back and forth-back and forth) like she is hearing noises all around her (her ears are pointed stright up). She seems very nervous, paraniod almost. She ate very little and is drinking very little. Can anyone help to explain what might be causing this. Sorry for the long post and thanks again.

She finally just put her head down and looks like she is going to sleep for the first time today. Hope she is better in the morning.

First off, I would like to say WELCOME to Pettalk! Also, Summer is such a silly pretty girl. I love the last picture. :D

Now, for your problem, I can't really think of what this could be. But I would take her to the vet if I were you, and straight away! I wish the best of luck to you in getting your cutie girl better.

Thanks for the reply. This morning she is 100% back to normall, very strange. I am going to take her to the vet for a check up anyway. Thanks again.

Ask for a blood profile specifically to check for RBC and platlet counts.

Thanks for the reply. She has been fine all day today and yesterday but she will be going in tomorrow for a checkup. Is there a spicific reason I should ask for these tests? Have you seen this before?? Thanks again.
