Molly hasn't peed since last night. She's been licking lately, but we only really noticed it today. We checked around her peehole and it was very red around it, and inside.
We called the vet and he said it would be better to take her in tonight than wait until tomorrow, because he may have to drain her bladder if something is wrong.
We explained that she was her normal self.. eating, drinking, running around,.. just all around Miss Molly!
He took her temperature and she has a little bit of a fever. When he checked her out, he found puss. He decided we would do a urinalysis and he found blood in the urine. He found there is lots of bacteria and white blood cells in her uteris.
He says he bets half his salary that it is some kind of (allergic) reaction to the sutures used during her spaying at the Humane Society at the end of February. He said this infection has probably been going on for a while, but we haven't noticed it, as most people don't see it until around 6 weeks after the surgery.
He gave us some CLAVAMOX pills to give her for 10 days. If it isn't cleared up in 10 days, we'll have to go back for an X-ray.
So please pray for Molly that everything clears up fine within the next few days. :)
Edit: Here's a picture I took of the M&M's.
