The symbol you've used is for the Austrailian dollar. 51.98 AU is equal to 37.87 USD.

I'd be real careful buying electronics off Ebay, especially from China. I've heard some horror stories and there's not much you can do if it's junk from that distance!

Last time I checked, which was Aug 2005, 8 Chinese Yuan were equal to 1 American dollar. I have to agree with Glacier, however, I'd be wary of buying anything from an independant seller from China via eBay. Check your buyer's background. How many stars do they have? I rarely (if ever) buy anything from a seller who has less than 99.8% satisfaction.
