El husband and I went to petco today and whilst petting the greyhounds (adoption day) we decided to get a little gecko. With a bit of persuasion and reasoning, I danced with glee as he said yes to my gerbil suggestions. I have not had time to take pictures but I googled up the best I could! :D

Well, have you seen the advertisements for this cartoon called Avatar? He has one of those little things on his head! :D He kind of looks like this: http://westsideeburgclan1.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/gerbil.jpg.w300h270.jpg ... I googled "gerbil" but that looks like a hamster to me.

He is very sweet. He won't wander on to my hand quite yet but he does nibble it a bit. He wandered over to hubby almost immediately. I must say I was quite envious! :D He has the softest little squeak. It sounds like a very soft guinea pig "wheak".
