Wow, big time! It's pretty noticeable to me. Is that someone you were thinking of showing?

yeah, he's the 8month old i was going to get from MI. there's NO WAY i'm going to buy a cow-hocked dog though...unless it was a pet.

Even if you hadn't asked that was the first thing I saw. It's just really, really noticeable.

Good luck finding a new baby :)

He is definately cow-hocked. Here is a picture of a cow hocked Great Dane for those who don't know what the term means. The back feet are turned outwards...

*EDIT* We all must have posted pictures at the same time!

Lucky you! Pick of the litter? Awesome :D So he's going to be born in June, or coming home in June?

it can. it depends on how sevear the cow hocks are. it's not painful or uncomfortable though.

he's going to be born in June. i'll bring him home in August. yes, i get pick of the litter. the reason why is i was suppose to get a black female from the breeder and she decided to keep her. she felt so bad she promised me POL from this upcomming litter.

...now for the wait till i bring him home!

I hope they get that dog fixed if its genetic. I wouldn't go near that breeder if that's what they were breeding. Congrats on the pup in the oven.

i hope the breeder does neuter him and place him in a pet home. she attempted to sell him to me as a show dog saying all he nedded wasa to run. it would work itself out. i may be young, but i'm not stupid!

:) This thread made me check Gonzo, I never realized he was so cow-hocked! It is not as severe as that Dane, I think it's cute. AND he runs faster/harder than any BC I know, and he can easily clear jumps and such... I don't even notice slight cow hocks, and it is not a big deal to me as long as the dog is a pet.
