We couldn't refuse the snow gods' gift of 18 inches of snow! So I hauled the sled out again today, much to the delight of the dogs! We didn't go very far. The trail was completely untracked and it was alot of work to break it!

Team was Paxil-Pingo, Hobo, Pacer-Ozzy, Chase-Franklin. Mac came along to and just ran loose. For some reason Daisy didn't come over when I was hooking up, but she is here now!

You can see how deep the snow is! A couple times Pingo lost her footing and actually went right under it! The stuff that fell yesterday is wet and heavy, but today's fall is light, fluffy powder!

On the trail coming home. It hasn't looked like this since November! They were much faster on the way home since they had already set a path!

Ok, trying a new video host. This works on a couple other boards I post on, so let's see if it works here!

Awesome! I love your voice! :) Thanks for sharing the video and pictures. It's beautiful here today too, but, in a totally different way. It's in the 80s and blue skies, lovely breeze...but, I'd love to be up there on that sled with your team, too, just as perfect. ;)

Cool! It's so pretty with all the new snow! I love the pic of Hobo, is he standing or lying down? I was surprised how far ahead Mac ran- he looks really happy dashing around!

:D

PDN (Pretty Darn Neat) Video there, Tamara!!!!!!

Did you have the camera on Fast Forward??
Seems like "we" were *Zippin* Along at a pretty FAST clip!!

Good thing the Team stuck with the trail - and DIDN'T follow
the "Pilot Dog" (Mack??) when he took the off-trail side trip through the trees!

This ride-along by video is Sooooo Neat - It's hard to imagine
how *exciting* - *thrilling* - *NEAT* the REAL THING would
be actually being ON the sled!!!

Hmmmm ... How far is Whitehorse, YT, from Ohio?

:DThat was actually pretty slow! That's why I could get the camera out and hold it without worrying about loosing my camera or my team--nothing worse than sitting in the snow watching your team run away without you!

Paxil and Pingo would never let the rest of the team follow Mac off into the trees. Some of them would like to though!

Can't remember exactly where in Ohio you live, but according to an on-line mileage calculator it's approximately 2500 miles from Ohio to here!

"SLOW" ????

Trees seemed to be goin past at a pretty good clip!

ONLY 2,500 miles?
Well, we'll be right over - keep the Sled warmed up! :p

I'll just curl up with a Husky or two and sleep by the wood burner. ;)

Whoo-hoo! Loved that video, thanks for the ride, Glacier. I really did like it. My first thought was also that we were going pretty darn fast, but then when I saw how much faster Mac was running around and past us, and I wasn't sure. I also agree with Phred, I am sure glad Paxil and Pingo are so good and stayed on the trail.

I always love seeing your photos. Not only are your dogs ADORABLE, but they're always interesting to look at. Dogsledding looks really fun too! I imagen it would make winter soooooo much more enjoyable too!
