I got the most amazing phone call today!

My cell phone rang today....it was a 215 number and I'm not even sure where that is. It was a girl I didn't know and she was trying to track down a dog she had rescued and bonded something firece with while in NOLA after the hurricane.

She asked me if I was the one who had taken in a sweet red male pit bull......#1440. Clifford! When I told her yes she started to cry. Turns out she had totally bonded with him but she was practical. She had two male dogs at home and she just knew that she wasn't prepared to take on an intact male rescue bully. And good for her.

We chatted for a while and I got her up to speed on his life since then. She was so glad to hear that he made it through his treatments and lived the luxurious life in WA state. She seems very educated about bullies and practical to boot. She's got a picture of him kissing her that she used in a pit bull education presentation....I can't wait to see it.

What a nice phone call to get. She said I made her year. It doesn't surprise me at all that Clifford would charm people where ever he went...he's such an amazingly loving dog.

*sigh*

Here are the pics she sent me....

It wsn't actually his home. This just happened to be the person who rescued him down in NOLA and kind of lost track of him....

That's great news. It's nice that she cared about Clifford enough to check in on his life. :)

Well, I have Clifford. I took him into my rescue organization after he got here. I already have four bully type male dogs, and Clifford is not good with kitties. Besides, he deserves his very own forever home and family. :D
