Trip to the dog park [pics]

We went with a friend and her Corgi, Cobie. To my delight, we saw a Cirneco D'el Etna (I think I spelled that right). Isn't that awesome?!?!

oh! What a cutie! the corgi and the Cirneco D'el Etna are very pretty too! I wish we had a dog park around here but the closest is like 50 miles away. :(

What a blast! Great pictures too. That Pharoh hound is small for a Pharoh Hound! The little corgi is a cutie... what a fluff ball :) Giselle acts like Buddy... rolls in mud... wades in mud... everything has to do with MUD! lol

Looks like a great time was had by all! Giselle and the other 2 dogs are beautiful. Gissie always manages to look great no matter how dirty she might be :)



...This might be a stupid question but since I don't know much about sight hounds, what is the difference between a Cirneco D'el Etna and a Pharaoh Hound? They look the same to me, maybe a bit smaller....lol. I've heard of them before but don't know much about them and everything I manage to find on google seems to be in a different language...

At last, pictures of our beautiful Giselle! And what a little cutie that Cobi is, even if he does know it! ;) Great picture! So is that another name for a Pharoh hound? I thought they would be bigger, too. Very elegant looking dog!

Hehe, she's not a Pharoah Hound. She's a Cirneco dell'Etna (sorry folks, I spelled it wrong the first time around!).

I pulled out my Sighthounds Afield book and, apparently, while the Cirneco and Pharaoh hound resemble each other physically, the Cirneco developed in Sicily for nearly 2,500 years whereas the Pharaoh was bred in Malta. There isn't much mention of temperamental differences, but I think this link might help:
