Hi so our ducks went to their new homes today, I was really nervous at first and then when I went to their house, I knew it was the perfect home. Tear’s running down my face I said goodbye. :( To see the thread I am talking about click here. (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=101928) I have learned so much and I am deeply in love with them. It’s really tuff to say goodbye to all three of my ducks, but I have the owner's blue sweetish duck’s, ducklings. The plan was just to get two, and I picked out the two I wanted then once I picked the two up the other one started chirping so I ended up taking all three home. I am so emotional just looking at the ducklings; I see my old ducks faces in theirs. I did what’s best, and I am happy for them and I think that’s what got me emotional. I have became friends with the owner’s daughter threw this whole thing, so I know I will be seeing my ducks soon and happy as they used to be. So anyway on to the ducklings pictures. While their living in their cage, we will me making a bigger new improved home.

they are scared to death of me right now, which I will let them get used to their homes and then bond with them

They are very sweet and don't poop in my hand like my other ducks did when they were babies.

Thanks! The mother is a blue swedish and they think their father is a mallord or another blue swedish

Aww, they are so cute!! My guess would be that the dad is a mallord, because the two look like my sisters mallord, and the other one looks like my black swedish did when I first got him. Congrats on the new addition!

no we have had mallords before, my mom bought me some ducks books for christmas when we had the muscovys, so I have done the reserch and stuff. thanks for the advise on what breeds they are

O ic, thats good that you did your homework. ;) They are fairly easy to care for, i thought I would share a few pictures of my Swedishs':

The first one is of them when they were little. They are the two in the front. The one on the left is my male, black swedish, and on the right is my female blue swedish. The ducks in the back are a runner and a mallord.

The second pic is of my black swedish, and the third picture is of my blue swedish :)

I am glad that you did the right thing by giving the others to these people. I am sure that Puddles, Quackers, and Waddles will help you get through this though...
