Well here are some pics of Molli and Sam after they got fixed. They are feeling much better today, and they are as hyper as ever.

Sam last night... not moving, just in case the cone 'attacks' his face.

Awww he'll get used to it! Maggie hated hers and wouldn't move for like 5 days when she had it on, I used to push her so she would walk and I'd just end up taking it off her anyways so she would actually do something. :p

Yeah, Sam wouldn't move yesterday, but now he runs and whines like a nut because he hates it. Anyone know how many days I should leave it on?

It's amazing how they bounce back, isn't it? Jimmy still has stitches and he runs around like a wild animal. I really try to stop him, but it's impossible.

Awww, those poor little things, they had a rough day. I'm glad their operations went well, poor Molli looked so tired though! Sam is still cute, even when he is pouting about his new collar. :)

He only needs to wear it until his stitches are gone, I'm pretty sure. And I take it off when he eats and sometimes when he goes potty, and sometimes when he needs a few minutes break.

My peanuts, I know what you mean! I'm sure in a couple days they'll be unstopable!
Pembroke_corgi, Sam is an expert at pouting to get his way! lol

Poor pups, I hope they are feeling better soon. And tell them to be careful jumping on & off the couch, that can cause some problems with the incision, especially because they are both smaller dogs. hugs to them both!

Thanks. I do make sure they are being extra careful with jumping off and on the furniture. Molli's incision looks great and it's healing very well, btw. Sam goes to the vet in 40 minutes.

When Max(rip) was fixed he didn't have an e-collar on. they just gave us meds to make him sleepy & he stayed in his kennel for several days. then once the meds were gone, we kept him in the kennel most of the time, cause he wouldn't stop runing & jumping, or we put a leash on him & tied him to the couch so he could be near us.. but he wasn't free for 2 weeks.

When Cadeau had to have masses removed in 2003, the vet gave us the e-collar 2 weeks early. SO we put it on her here & there & the last 5 days it was always on her. so it wasn't a big deal to her when she came back from surgery & had the e collar on for 6 weeks. I got to take some great pics heheh

I think my dad asked for it, as hes heard horror stories, of dogs running to much & their bellies open up, rip, bleed, etc. Also Max was a pretty strong puppy, so those meds were needed heheh

Also when he was stabbed & then had his dewclaws removed at the same time, they kept him under heavy drugs, to the point I had to carry an 80p dog around for 3+ days. I had to hold him to poop & lift his leg on a bush to get him to pee. He refused to go potty in our yard, so I had to carry him 3-6 blocks until he found a spot he liked.. 1 neighbour told me to bring him close to the bush near his house, as his dog liked to pee there. So that was his new assessed peeing bush hehe I was only 13yrs old & I'm only 5'2!
