The BRATS have returned!

I have been gone for so long that I don't even know how to start. I could write a mile long thread on everything that has been going on but I will give it to you in a nutshell.
Our computer died! I kept thinking that we would get a new one and I would be back in business real soon but it ended up taking forever.
I'm still working at the shelter and am totally exhausted mentally and physically. It is the greatest and worst job I've ever had. Many weeks I work seven days so I don't have nearly as much time as I used too.
I can't find words that will tell you all how many times I have needed PT to give me advice, share sad times, funny stories, or just give me a swift kick in the butt! ;)
Since I was such a huge foster failure I'm still holding at 20 brats! :p

Sirrahbed called me today and told me that I was still missed on PT. It was great to hear that because I have been gone for so long I really don't feel like I belong anymore.
I miss all my old friends and there are so many new people that I haven't even met yet. Hi!!!
We got our new computer Friday and I have been working on getting it set up and this is my first place to visit!

All the BRATS are doing fine and everything is pretty much the same here. Sirrahbed requested new pictures of the babies (6 months old now!) so she could see how they have grown.

GIRLFRIEND! I can not begin to tell you how much I missed you... how many times I thought about you and those BRATS... Just yesterday, I started to post a thread "Saturday Morning Brats" and post OLD pictures of YOURS!.. I thought you might have gotten mad so I didn't do it, but OOoooooo, I came SO close! Saturday morning without the Brats are so flat and every Saturday morning I would come here and hold my breath, praying they would be here.

You have NO idea how much you were missed here but I think you are fixin' to find out girl! You may have been gone but you were NEVER forgotten! If I could get my hands on you, I would KISS you! I am SO glad to see you back!

Does this mean we will get to see more of you now? (I HOPE SO!) We do have a lot of new people here and you have to give them the chance to get to know you & the Brats too! :D Did I say I MISSED YOU?

As for the "new" babies....Gazer...do I need to guess how he got his name? In the pic it looks like he's "gazing off into the distance" so I'm assuming he does that quite often. ;) Mud Pie looks like a sertain Kissy Cat we all know.... ;)

All the young 'uns are adorable, and I sure hope your computer and internet service continue to work so you can stick around again! Can't wait to hear all the news about the shelter!

Laura! Honey don't cry! I missed you so much too. I kept planning to write (hand write) people but I kept thinking we would be up and running real soon. The time just kept going and everyday I kept thinking we would have the new computer and I could get back in touch. I still can't believe how long its been and I don't blame some of you if your mad at me! I owe some thank you's that I have not given. I wouldn't speak to me for taking this long! :(

Gee you all I really do feel like I've come home from a very loooooong time away. I'm so glad to be back!

Magoo is doing great, even with all the new additions. :rolleyes: He hasn't had a real close bond with anyone other than Abigail. He was good with the babies but never groomed or played with them like he does her. They are still close and Abigail still goes to him for snuggles and grooming. Not as often as when she was itty bitty but they still share something special.

Magoo is still going approximately every 4 to 6 weeks for eye draining. He is becoming less tolerant about it but hasn't been too bad.....yet. ;)

Leroy is still goofy but now that I'm working so many hours he has become a major lap fungus. He is attached to me like crazy!
Sissy is now doing very well and will on occasion get in my lap. She is finally starting to adjust.
Magoo has turned into a goat! He is climbing everything! He is always in search of an adventure and he can create one out of nothing.
Everybody else is pretty much the same. Hanging out in the windows or lounging all over the house. :D

With all the youngsters there is always something going on around here. Its noisy and busy at all hours of the day.....and NIGHT! :rolleyes:

Do you guys remember when I started PT and had only 9 cats?????? :eek: :p :p What happened??? ;)

I keep looking at the pictures of your brats, they are all so very lovely. Peanut Butter is gorgeous, a younger version of my Macduff complete with the extra fluffy feet. Roscoe looks shy and very lovable. I read about Magoo and was very moved by his rescue. I did think about adopting a couple of other special needs cats at the shelter who were very close to being blind, but I move my furniture around every few months so that wouldn't work. I did have a one-eyed cat, called Bete (French for beast, think Beauty & the Beast and how beautiful Beast was inside) who I found near starvation on the campus where I work. He had also had one eye surgically removed and appeared to have been hit by a car. He had a broken jaw which had started to heal itself when he was found. He had the same colouring and longish coat as Magoo, and the same huggable personality.

It is so good to see everyone. Those three black boys look sweet as can be and nearly identical except for Jackson's bit of white.

Pawpie is a sweet looking girl - love her!! She sure looks like her mama and that picture made me OOO and AHHH the way they have their tails wrapped and look like purrfect statues.

Dopie Opie - what a cutie!! Still want to call her and he :p (Meowmie Lisa mistook the sex - shows that even the most experienced cat folks have trouble with this!! I came to know Opie boy and just can't think of Opie as a girl)

Mudpie looks adorable!! Just saw the other post about his poor leg bone :eek: - hope to soon read that he will be just fine.

It is nice to hear that Abigail and Magoo have that special bond and that she is the only baby to earn that attention from him :) She sure has turned into a stunning beauty. Glad you did not drown her under the faucet!!! :p (Lisa was washing her when she was a tiny baby and she went docile and limp and scared Meowmie!! :eek: )

Those older long-haired babies are just breathtaking as always. Oh how I love seeing Peanut Butter!!!! He was my very first cat to fall hopelessly in love with when I first came to PetTalk.....and of course the reason I now have my look-alike sweetheart kitty, Dylan.
