If you have a few minutes perhaps you could answer a few questions as a favor to us. Our friend, translator, and tour guide in China would like answers to five questions about your thoughts regarding China for her dissertation.

**blush** If my responses are the norm, she's going to think there are a lot of know-nothings running around loose around here.  :o

I answered too. I had the opportunity to visit parts of China a couple of years ago and I loved it.

   Thank you everyone.

When we talked to her when we were in China she did not have any plans to visit foreign countries in the future. However, one or more of the other people we met in China may visit us.

I answered too but I really didn't have much to say. I know little to nothing about China. I wish I did. Perhaps this will motivate me!

Good luck to your friend on her dissertation!

I'm sure that will be interesting for all of you! :) Perhaps she should do a more extensive questionaire, if she needs it for her job!

I have another question about PM's. When I get one, the box will pop up, so far so good. But when I've read it and closed the PM, the box comes up again and says there's a new PM, but it's the same one I just opened. Does it have to be open for a certain period of time to not do that?

And, if you put your PM's in differnet folders, will they still occupy the space used for the 30 or so PM's you can have in your inbox, before deleting any?

Thanks in advance,
Randi :)

The new PM message on send is a bug. There is a slight upgrade to this software that I should install. That might make a difference.

Yes the messages in all your folders count for the total number of messages allowed. The total number allowed is currently set to 200.

When PM's were first started there was a limit of 30 or 50 or something, but this has been raised to 200, I believe. I am eagerly awaiting the answer to your first question. The only things I've found that help are immediately replying to the PM or logging out of Pet Talk and logging back in again. Both are do-able, but sometimes awkward. Great questions! :D

Addendum:
Wow. Two responses while I was typing this one. Either I'm way slow, or this is a hot topic!

If you've answered the poll, the picture you see at the end is behind the Forbidden City in Beijing. And we will get more pictures up online ... some day!
