Starr's 1st Birthday!!!

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow,March 22nd, is Starr's 1st birthday. :D He was found by a policeman and brought to a shelter but he was too young so he was fostered by one of their volunteers and bottle fed. I can't believe that he's now already a year old. I weighed him tonight and he now weighs only 8lbs. and this was also after he ate part of his dinner. Pearl is only 10 months and she weighs 8.8lbs. and has always been a little beefier than Starr. I wonder if he'll continue to grow.

This is the first picture that I saw of Starr. A friend of mine was going to adopt him but then decided not to.

He was 5 weeks old when I first saw him in person.

He was a little over 3 months old when I first brought him home and had coccidia but he then got ringworm so I took him back to his foster mom for treatment since she had several other kittens with ringworm.

Finally in late August, I was able to bring him home for good.

You were such a little cutie pie that I can easily see how your meowmy fell in love with you so easily.

Tracey, as for Starr's weight, kitties do tend to "fill out" in their second year of life. It's like the grow "up" during the first year, then "out" during the second year. But even if he doesn't, he might just be a small cat. CJ is only about 9 lbs at 8 years old. CJ always seems skinny to me, but that's because I'm used to tubby male cats like Tubby, and I know you're used to bigger males too. ;) I think as long as they eat good and are active, "fit & trim" is better for them anyway. ;)
