View Full Version : My Poor Jimmy is having emergency bladder surgery! Updated info @ 11:28 3/22.

My Jimmy! :( He just got neutered on Thursday and now he's having bladder surgery. He couldn't get any pee out this morning. Like none, zero. So I called the vet and took him in. The doctor said they have to open him up and clean all the crystals out of his bladder, but they might come back. My poor baby! I'm at work now (I took Friday off to stay with him after the neutering). Jimmy will probably be there over night, but I can call about him at 4:00pm.

Please, Jimmy needs PT prayers again. I’m a nervous wreck! How much more can my little man take?!?

Poor Jimmy... it's so sad to see the little guy go through so much. :( He sure is a trooper, keep us updated! Hope everything goes well and that the crystals DONT come back.

Jimmy is out of surgery and they said he is walking around. He's on some heavy injectable pain killers. I have to call in a couple hours to see if it's even possible for him to come home tonight. So he made it through the surgery and that's half the battle.

Keep those prayers and good vibes coming!

I called and Jimmy was asleep. I'm glad he's comfortable there. He can't come home tonight :(. They said it's a bad idea to come see him because he's all doped up. :( I can call about him in the morning. That's all I know for now.

Oh good! Pee Jimmy pee! That is good news. I'm glad he is doing better and he'll be home before you know it. Your home must be quiet without him. :(

JIMMY IS HERE WITH ME AT WORK! I picked him up a little while ago. He's doing well. He's peeing a lot of blood, but the doc says that's normal. Jim is sleeping next to my desk right now. If I get up he cries. The doctor took out 8, yes 8, stones out of his bladder. They were big, but they didn't show up on the xrays. All is good so far.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. It means a lot to me to know that you really care.

Today Jimmy is doing pretty well. He's peeing a lot. There is a lot of blood, but they said that's normal. He's been peeing in the house, but we are just letting him until he heals. Luckily he's been doing it on the tile. He's drinking a lot and the vet said to encourage that. He's not eating too well, but he is eating.
