Every year, our neighbourhood gets hundreds of ducks from spring till fall. They go away during winter and come back in March. They are cute, oh yes, but my hubby doesn't like them in our garden, as they always want to swim in our pond. This is not good for the fish, so we usually chase them out of the water.
Today we had 3 visitors! A male with 2 female ducks :D . I went outside to shoo them away from the water.

But they were really persisting, and didn't move an inch, looking and chatting

I am sure they are professional duck-models, lol; I came closer and closer, but still they didn't move! I took a terrific shot of them!!

But then, they decided that the lady-with-that-camera came a bit to close, and they took off. Till next time, QUAAAAAk!!!

ps. I am crossing fingers that none of this cute birds will bring that dreaded birdflue here. It would be a shame to kill them all  :(

Absolutely! Last year my neighbour found a nest with 6 eggs!! Lots of lil ducks then ! They cross the street too  . There is even an offocial sign to warn cardrivers, saying "Duck crossing!"! I will take a pic of that!

Once upon a time, years ago... We use to go to a RV park that had a big lake full of ducks and I use to take a bag of bread out there everyday to feed the ducks. I would sit on the bank and throw bread and they would come running. I would spend hours out there, it was just the most relaxing thing and was good for my soul and spirit. My friend thought I was crazy because I couldn't wait to get out to the ducks everyday until he went with me one day and he had to admit that it was really relaxing and then I had company everyday to feed the ducks after that. I think ducks swimming is the most relaxing thing in the world to see and watch.. I LOVE ducks!
