I have read one website that said *An arabian is only a purebred if he or she is related to Bask.* And when I look at some bloodlines I always see his name somewhere in there. Who is Bask!? Why is he so important?

* BASK ++ is the only stallion to be a U.S. National Champion Stallion and Park Horse and is the breed's all time leading sire of champions and National winners, as well as National winner producers.

The only bask I know of of the top of my head was imported I think from poland around the mid 50's, arabain horses have been around for about 5000 years, and have been bred and raised by the ppl of the dessert. While a decent of the polish bask is a much sort after heritage in horse circles.. i do not think bask was the original.
It has been years since I had anything to do with breeding horses so I am out of the mix so to speak I may be wrong.
