This sweetie is my mom's friend's dad's dog. He doesn't want him because he doesn't bark ::) So I'm trying to find him a home. I absolutely adore him! Total sweetheart, if I were allowed to have another dog I'd take him(I know, I say that about every dog, but he's in my top 5 favorite dogs!) Anyways here are some pics of him. He's about 3 years old, no shots, not neutered(will be though). He's good with people and other dogs, don't know about cats.
He's shy at first, but after awhile of nice scratches and talkings. He really warms up to you and will even try and play!
edit: forgot to mention, he's pretty quiet too. He's not housebroken because as you can see, he lives outside all the time, and is in no way trained. If I can get my mom to let us foster him at our house, we could work with him, but I don't think we can do that right now. Can't afford another dog right now.

He sure is a beauty!! :D
I find it odd that they don't want him because he doesn't bark. Were they wanting him as a dog to scare tresspassers away or something?
Good luck in finding him a home!!

Yes, they want a dog that will scare away tresspassers.

My cousin Tiffany would love a dog like Dusty :) But she lives in an apartment, and huskies need a big home and a big yard. If she had a house I'm sure she would be willing to take him, and her parents would agree. Good luck finding gorgeous Dusty a loving and forever home. I would always take him... but a tiny dog and a huge dog wouldn't be best together :p

Aww to bad, but big dogs and little dogs do fine! I have a min poodle, min pin, min dashchund, and a doberman. They all hang out and play together just fine. :)

and he had to live that way? :( you can't take him in, where's dusty gonna be, still there?

oh poor dusty, don't worry, I wasn't born to be loud or learned to scare people either - so you should find a loooving home! (I sure hope so!) gentle hugs to you dear and be in crayola and my thoughts!

animalrescue, have you tried post this in yahoo? I know how complicate they can look, since yahoo is very popular, you wouldn't believe how many lives have saved there! craiglist.. petfinder .. local husky rescue .. good luck!

i'm leaving to go to Nashville,TN for a dog show, but i'll talk to you about POSSIBLY getting this boy to me. it all depends on if Kodie and Burger can get to their families. they are both adopted.

They told me he was a malamute, but now that I see him, I'm thinking Sibe too.

A husky and a little dog could be a difficult mix. The husky prey drive can not tell a little dog from a snack--picture Franklin running down the trail, in harness, in an eight dog team with a maltese wearing a fleece jacket in his mouth! (and Franklin has a fairly low prey drive!) He released the dog unharmed, but if he had been allowed his own way, that little dog would not have survived. Course, it would have been Franklin's fault despite the fact that I yelled 3 times at the maltese owner to pick up his dog, specifically told him "My dogs will kill it" and he still refused to get it out of my team's way!

These people obviously did no research before they got the dog. Of the 23 huskies in my yard, maybe 3 of them bark. The rest howl and talk, but they rarely bark. If you can get through the gate here, without being licked to death, the dogs will gladly show you where I keep my jewellry!

I hope Dusty finds a nice home where he doesn't have to live on a chain anymore. My bridge kid, Hoodoo, was a bi-eyed boy, rescued from a home where he was chained all the time. Ones like him hold a special place for me.

I feel bad what a life to be chained up all the time
