Did anyone else get this email from petmeds? The food looks pretty good. Does anyone know anything about this brand. Is it owned by any bigger company? How does this compare in price to the average raw food diet?
Sorry, it just seems to be clear-cut better than the rest when I've never been able to pick a dry kibble that is generally better than its competitors in the category.

Well it seems like a decent food although in my opinion it's rather high priced for a food with grain as a second ingredient, and it has four grains (flax and barley, oatmeal and sorghum). If I were going to pay that much ($39 for 17 pounds), I'd want a food closer to raw.

I just started mine on Innova EVO and I pay $44 for 28.6 pounds.

edit: Also some amount of animal fat in the diet is natural and has nutritional value (in my opinion).

I got the same e-mail from Pet Meds & I agree with Jess' statements. I thought the same when looking at the e-mail for the first time.

We feed 1/2 Nutro & 1/2 TimberWolf. The TimberWolf is $50 for 33lb bag, and IMO better quality than Azmira.

Which formula of the Timberwolf do you feed Kay? The Wild and Natural looks similar to EVO. Looks like a good food.

I feed the Ocean Blue. I researched the different formulas and it seemed this one would work best for us as many sites/people said it was good for sensitive skin, allergies, & overweight dogs. Simba & Nala have had skin problems in the past (Simba with rashes & Nala with her hot spot), and Simba needs to lose a few pounds, so I chose that.

All three scarf it up like it was a big juicy steak.

That looks nice, I've never seen a fish based food but I imagine that would help with the things you mentioned. Yummy stuff! :) They sure have a lot of different formulas available.

thanks! I'll look into the foods you guys posted too. If it was up to Niņo he would be eating soy nuggets, ramen noodles, and beef liver treats
