BETWEEN SPRING & WINTER - BOB PHOTOS

It's that nasty between Spring & Winter time here in SW PA. Sprinter - it's snowing one day and 50? F the next. Makes for a lot of Colds!

Bob was out running about this weekend and I snapped some updates. If you've seen him before, then you can see he is really changing as he grows. He loves to run... but with that coat of his - he can get quite muddy. So he gets a lot of baths!!! :D

Yeah, Bob is way too cute... but he is a bit of a Devil too!!! We don't know what he is (breed), cause he is a rescue. And he has changed quite a bt since we first posted photos and had some guesses levied as to his ancestry. When he was just little (7-8 weeks), he had these really cute rings/circles around his eyes. But now (14 weeks) his hair keeps growing and a secondary, coarser, longer coat is filling in, making those distinctive markings more subtle.

He's so cute. I'm still going with airedale or lakeland-type terrier mix. He does hold his tail like a beagle. I love his fuzzy look.

Bob is adorable!!! :D It's very pretty where you live. I live in Cali, it was like 70* today....

The more I see of Bob, the more his coloring/expressions remind me of a Spinone Italiano. They are a very rare breed, so IDK if it's likely. Do ya think?

You know, I thought of that BcKrazy. Especially with the coloring and general look and expression. But the Spinone's seem to be much larger and lankier, but you never know. Also, Bob's brothers and sisters all had black & tan markings, some with smooth, flat coats and others with Bob-like hair.

Also, a quirky little fact that I found interesting, if not a little weird, is that a litter can be from multiple fathers. Obviously one Mom, but depending on how much she got around... maybe brithers and sisters within same litter from 2 maybe trhree fathers!!!

N. California... we go there every year. St. Helena, Napa Valley. Used to go twice a year - Xmas and summer to let my kids visit their Grandparents! It's very beautiful there. Thanks!

I kinda always thought from the beginning that Bob was a mix of a Beagle and some other things (i.e. a litle cat, some terrier and a dash of devil). Of course, I am partial to Beagles, so it just may be wishful thinking on my part.

I saw that picture you posted before from another post about designer breeds, and I thought probably as you did, "Heh, that looks a little like Bob"!!! Thanks.

Oh my, Bob would be so spoiled at my house! I have a very soft spot for scruffy little faces. He looks just a little like my Callie June, a wire-haired Jack Russell mix. I've often wondered if she had a little beagle in her as well. She has the shortest little legs! Sorry, I had to attach the photos--I'm not very good at doing it the other way.

Well, thank you! She's actually Callie June (I need to change my "handle", as I actually have 4 dogs now, including Piper). I don't love him any more than the others, but I had him first, thus "Pipersmom". :)

You're right about Spinones, they are BIG and have longer ears and droopier eyes. Bob looks like a cute mini Spinone to me ;) I've really never seen his coloring except in Spinone's.

Bob is adorable, and sure is growing into a handsome boy. Something is still reminding me of a PBGV but again they are pretty rare hmmm. I guess that is the fun of rescueing mutts, they sure keep us guessing.
