The lake has been lowered for awhile now, but, it's been too cold...it's starting to warm up, and, the water is still low...so, I let Finn go muddin' the other day. ;) The water was cold, but, not too cold for Finn. We had a blast, so, here are some pictures of a very dirty lab. He's still handsome, though. But, I **am** a little biased.

Nah, I cleaned his ears out...but, he always manages to come out of the lake basically spotless. And, he never stinks. So, I bathe him as infrequently as I can. He had tons of fun, though, today. :)

Sassy isn't even allowed in the grass haha! She gets fleas so easily so my mom just banned her from the grass. She gets her mouth dirty easily though when she eats dirt. :p

The mud looks very enticing! ;) Finn's one very happy dog! that's great you let him play in the mud - at the dogpark there's people that get crazed if their dog gets the least little mud on them.

Great pictures and it looks like he really enjoyed himself. I really like the one that Sammy101 posted although I have to say I would die if one of my dogs got that dirty. They are not *wash and dry* dogs. LOL! It takes forever to get sand and dirt out of their curls. :D :rolleyes:

Thank you! He did have a ton of fun, and, slept well that night. ;) I know my little dog Bruno was never too much into that stuff, either...I don't think he ever swam. Although he did LOVE hopping through the snow. Finn has yet to meet snow. Should be interesting when he finally does! Ethan's a doll in so many ways, it's ok that he's dainty. ;)

You and your girls can come and go mudding with me anytime. Well, hurry, though, they're going to raise the lake again soon. ;) That will all be covered in water, which is still tons of fun, but, not as dirty! And, you've got that right, Finn is a hard player, that boy knows how to have fun!

Yeah, did you notice how muddy Finn's mouth and tongue were in one of the pictures (I think one of them with the boat bumper). It's so nasty...hahaha

It is, it is. ;) It has been awhile, and, I'm sorry about that. Just haven't been on pet talk as much. And, I know I've said this, but, he really did have a good time. I love watching him just go nuts, it's awesome.

I know, I have never minded him getting dirty at all...I always let him get totally disgusting at the dog park. It was so funny, because inevitably, I'd also be covered in mud. ;)

Yeah, it's definitely funnier and more photoworthy to be dirty. ;) But, actually, unless he gets into something that the lake doesn't rinse off, I don't bathe him...I cleane his ears out and check him all over, but, for the most part he actually looks really pretty after playing in the mud and lake and then drying off...my mom came home that night from work and asked if he'd had a bath. I said, yeah "a mud bath." ;)

Thank you, we both had fun...I did get pretty dirty, too, though I was trying to keep the camera clean, so, I couldn't get too gross. I sunk up to my shins in mud a couple of times, yummy. ;)

Yeah, I remember that...I just wouldn't take him to the park if I had a problem with him getting dirty...I remember how stressed people would get and they would spend the entire time telling their dog no and trying to keep him away from the mud spots. I can totally understand it with certain coat types, but, man...that's what labs are made for. ;)

Oh, I can imagine, you have poodles, right? Yeah, I think I'd be detouring around all the mudholes everywhere if I had pups with coats like that. I knew what I was getting when I got a lab, and, really like doing stuff with him that I've never really been able to do with another pet...it's fun, but, I'm sure I'll have a dog one day where mudding isn't in the agenda. ;)

He has filled out, especially since it's gotten colder and he's not been able to swim. He's over 80 pounds, but, still has a waist, so, that's what I go by. As long as he keeps a waist, I'm all right. ;) Aw, you'll have to bring your pups down sometime for a fun time in the mud. ;) I imagine you wouldn't even be able to really tell if Bon was muddy, though, with his coat color...
