For those of you who don't know -- A person broke into the home of Miles and kicked him across the room, breaking his leg Monday night. Miles' Mom, Gina has gone above and beyond to get treatment for him. She has provided us with everything we need even though she had trouble with our application.

Miles is a 3 year old neutered orange kitty. Today he saw a regular vet which could do an amputation of the leg, but he would rather not and referred Gina and Miles to a specialist. The surgeon feels that the prognosis for repair and recovery is good at this point. Miles is tentatively scheduled for surgery on Monday. They sent him home with pain meds.

Thanks to all of you - IMOM has raised almost the entire $700. Thank you! Thank you! Miles should be on the road to recovery soon.

Gina has asked me to let you know that if any of you want to make additional donations, to please PM her so that she can give you her mailing address. You can mail the donations directly to her. See, Gina still has to pay $1,500 back to Care Credit (http://www.carecredit.com/patients/whatis.htm). IMOM does not raise funds for that portion of the bill.

Thanks to you all, this nightmare will soon be over for Gina and her entire Ark!

Gina - I still remember Miles, the frightened little orangie who took so long to warm up to me but then he became a total sweetheart...I hope he is back on all four paws very soon!

cathybogart, that miles you met, and after all of traveling across the country, meeting more guests - he isn't the shy little lion you know anymore! I'm sure the next time you see him, he'll eventually come up to you! on three or four leggies. :D

I thought I'd come up here and update you all, since IMOM have helped us with $700 donation, (the rest will go to other pets in need there) - around $400 more (for $1,500) have came through from few loving friends & pet talkers!
