I have a 1999 Honda CRV which just flipped over to 70,000 miles! Looks like I should start thinking about a new car, huh? I would like a new Toyota RAV-4, I think next time. Their gas mileage is supposedly better and I like their looks. Even though gas is expensive I always want to have an SUV. I like being *high* when I drive, and I don't mean on drugs or alcohol! LOL!

Since I was 17 and a passenger in one, I've always wanted a Morgan. Just look at this car:

http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/splashtwo.html

Wouldn't you want one too? If you could afford it, of course.

For now, I have a very ordinary Mazda, except it's a stick-shift since I hate automatics. I had a Rabbit and I really miss the "kick" as it moved off fast in first gear.

I'm driving a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker with just over 30,000 miles on it. It looks kinda dorky and old but it's a great car. It's in really good shape too and I got it for practically nothing form an elderly lady that couldn't drive anymore. It's a one owner and loaded. However, I want a new car and I'm thinking strongly about getting a Cobalt or a Malibu, David. I've owned/leased two Malibus already and I loved them. I guess my dream car is a Cadillac Escalade ;)

I have a 1995 metallic raspberry Pontiac Sunfire. I bought it new and just because of the color. It still doesn't have 60,000 miles on it. I love it, but am only 5'4". It really isn't big enough for men passengers, and the back seat is too small also.

When I saw that green car talked about previously, I sucked in my breath - and thought *Yup - I could deal with that!* The Morgan - yeah, baby! But right now I love what I drive.

I would also love a bright yellow Ford Mustang, but would probably get too many speeding tickets! ;)

I'm driving a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, and I love it. As long as it's an SUV or pick-up truck and big enough to hold my dogs and myself, I like it!

I'm driving an '04 Subaru Forrester - Turbo. Its both fast and safe - what a combo. :D

Dream car? - I think it would vary based on what I was planning to do. Just looking good? - a mini-cooper convertible or a thunderbird. :) Off-roading? - a jeep wrangler or liberty.

But I'm pretty happy with my grocery-getter. I'd better be - I'm still paying for it.

Daisy and delilah, I LOVE my colbalt. I'm leasing it for four years. It's fun to drive, easy on gas, real easy to park, and it has a beautiful CD player! It's the very first new car I've owned.

1. 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

I have the opportunity to buy my stepdad's 1994 Jeep Cherokee in the summer for $500 :D . He was so cheap then that it doesn't even have top bar things to hold luggage. Our top turtle thing slipped off
My ideal car is the Toyota Matrix or Honda Element.
In a way the Matrix reminds me of a PT Looser which I think is terribly ugly, but it has a lot of bonuses above just looks.
http://www.auto123.com/carbuild/images/toyota/2005/matrix-base4dr-blacksandpearl4634.jpg
My dad has a 2002 Matrix with 100,000 miles on it (NO, that's not a tyo, one hundred thousand miles) and the ONLY thing he's had to do is fix the air conditioning and ruitene matinence. The Matrix may not look so stylish but it has soooooooo much space and comfort inside, in a compact car. It gets good milage too. My dad's done lots of projects and had to bring home plywood and stuff and he has not had a problem fitting it yet.

Before I knew what they were called, I liked the look of the Elements.

I love the "Sunset Orange" that looks like Creamy tomato soup a lot. Someone on my block has it, I WANT it!
Then my dad recommended them to my mom and stepdad because we're getting a new car to replace the Jeep. He said it has a lot of the same good things about it that the matrix does.
Going ONLY on looks though, I Love the new Chevy "Truck" that looks like a morph between a futuristic car and a 1940s truck! It's called the SSR. I'd never trust a chevy though.

I drive a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. I am hooked on pickups (had a Ranger previously) and I think I willalways have some sort of a truck.

If we are dreaming though, in addition to my truck, I would have a garage full of sports cars...a late 70's Trans Am, a classic Mustang, a corvette, maybe the new Pontiac Solstice for fun. And if Dodge makes this years concept car, the redesigned Challenger into a production car, I would love to have one of those as well!

Sounds good David. I'm going to check into a Cobalt :) In the Pittsburgh area, colbalts have been on sale for, get this, $98 a month! My payment is $118 a month which is still real good. Mine was a dealer demonstrator with 5400 miles on it, but it was never titled. However the colbalt is still practically brand new. I LOVE mine!

The car I'm driving right now is the hottest thing ever, of course! It's a 2005 Chevy Cavalier Coupe in BLACK! :) It's so pretty, and sooo hot, I love it. It gets *great* gas mileage, it's totally reliable, and it's perfect for me. I've got short (okay, shorter than your average bear's) legs and driving some cars makes me feel funny... but not this beaut! :D

My dream car is a lime green VW Beetle! :) Ever since I first saw them, I've been in love... but that's a dream car. It'll never come true because it's just not practicle enough for me to even think of giving up my car. I appreciate my car more than most people would ever appreciate theirs, and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING!

I now drive a 1990 Chevy 1/2T. 4X4 Suburban (for business), Nice Days I ride a 1975 (first year made) GL1000 Goldwing.

Dream car.............................Mercedes CLK-GTR (for summer)
H-1 Hummer wagon (winter), one of the real ones!!
Nice Days............1995 GL1500SE Goldwing, Teal in color
Real Nice Days..........8 team Black Clydesdales and Wagon!

Lizzie
03-03-2006, 11:09 PM
Oh! Clydesdales, even more classy than my Morgan, but I'd be more capable of controlling the car than just one of those magnificent horses. I'm just old enough to remember them pulling the drays loaded with barrels of beer to the local pub. Apparently, my grandad used to stand on the street with his shovel and pail, waiting for something good for his roses and tomatoes. Now that's far more useful than what cars leave behind.

Good Girl Pam! My 1997 Rav 4 is still running like a dream. The only drawback is that it's a 4 cylinder. I always had 4 cylinders and felt safe cause I can be "heavy footed".BUT the good news is that they're 6 cylinder now and look so much better. I like being "high" too, but not when driving! I'm sticking with a Rav when I get a new car. I don't like driving that much so I'll stick to what I feel comfortable in.

What mods have you done for it so far?? Found any good prices on after market parts? I'm looking into getting a cold air intake and a better exhaust on my Grand Am as well as a racing chip, better suspension and.. well, there's a long list but nothing I can accomplish so soon!! Right now I will just have to settle for a paint job, pinstripes, and Euro taillights :)

On my car.... i've so far put wheels and tires on .... coilovers... camber kit... AEM intake.... and the other mods are just cosmetic. I've put a lot of money into the stereo... white face guages... i put a white underbody neon kit... and blacklights under my dash....and my floormats cost me $200.00.... i bought some custom cut diamond plate floormats... I bought the five piece set... with the two front and back and the small piece for the footrest on the driver's side. I wish I would have just put the front floormats in and saved some money because no one ever sees the back ones..

here is a picture..

As far as good prices you can get the intake, tail lights and other parts off ebay for really good prices. But the most most important if you don't do the work yourself is go to a GOOD mechanic you can trust. Espicially doing any engine work to your car. I had soooo many problems with my intake making my fuel sensor go cookoo... and my check engine light wouldn't go off. My mechanics have been working on my car for years though... and give me really good deals on tires and labor and stuff. Good luck on your car... it is fun putting money into it if you're really into that stuff...

My friend is a mechanic at the dealership I bought my car from actually so I really do trust him (and he'll do the labor for free, or just dinner at Denny's haha)

Glad to hear that all your mods aren't JUST cosmetic, though!! I can't stand kids who do that and think since their car LOOKS prettier or SOUNDS louder, it goes faster lol I've put many kids to shame in their "tricked out" Civics with my beat up LUMINA... yes, a '92 Lumina can beat a "pretty" Civic; imagine that! hah.

Ok ok! I'll stop! Those are the only fast ones he has. A few years ago I learned my sister had her camaro up for sale. It was a 1969 camaro convertible. Before I could ask her about it, she sold it to some kid for $500.00! What was she thinking?! I leared later that the kid put big tires on the back and after a while I learned he had wrapped it around a telephone pole! I could have shot her.

I'm driving a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee plus I kept my old 1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and I still drive it around some too.

Here's my new car that hubby and I bought last summer - it's Khaki. Sorry I haven't taken a picture of it yet so this is from Jeep's site.

As for a dream car I don't really have one. I'm just thrilled to have my new Jeep!

I don't drive yet and probably won't for a long time but I don't really have a dream car. All I need is something reliable, look nice and be able to comfortably hold the dogs.
