Ok say someone was born on Feb 29th, would they have to wait till there 16 legaly by leap year birthdays or 16 by the years going by like we do? Its been bothering me all day I just dont know the answer.

I'd imagine it would be by normal years.. otherwise, you'd have to wait til you're 76 to get alcoholic drinks, get a credit card, etc (in canada). :p

Generally, people born on February 29th use the 28th as their birthday for most purposes. :)

My uncle's birthday was February 29th. It often caused problems with systems like the Reigstry of Motor Vehicles. His age was counted by the years like the rest of us, but when he was, for example 48, he had his 12th birthday, even those his kids had all had their 12th birthday before him!

It's normal. I think their b-day is officially (on records) Feb 28 then. Today is my cousin's b-day. She was born about 4 hours before the leap day! :p
Years and dtaes are really something we make up to stay sane ;) :p

My aunt was born on Feb 29th. She has always gone by Feb 28th as her birthday.
