Baby
Bird was a surprise hatchling from a clutch of five eggs in July 2008. He
was pulled for hand-feeding (which improves socialization) at three weeks and
soon became an expert at begging for his formula and making sweet chirping
noises while flapping his wings as he fed.
Baby does not seem to know that he is a bird and prefers the company of his
human family. He is very smart and can say "Baby Bird," "Bad Baby Bird," and
"Clarisse." He also wolf whistles and imitates the beep of the microwave.
This activity started when he was a baby and recognized that the microwave
and formula were connected. Baby is an expert flier and loves to sit on my
shoulder as I do the housework. Baby loves his supervised out time from his
cage and we are so happy to share our home with this fun loving and animated
little character. Baby Bird we love you! Happy Days!
