Disney
is very special to us, because he is the best bird we have ever had! We
used to have only parakeets, but we could never get them tame. When we got
Disney, he was two months old and hand raised, so he was tame from day one. He
can't talk yet, but we are trying to teach him to say "hello." However, he is
a very good singer, and makes whistle sounds all the time. Another one of his
interests is chewing, on Christmas cards, books, or anything that is shiny:
earrings, zippers, watches...
Disney also loves to sit with us and watch TV and eat our food. Cereals
and cookies are his favorite, and millet spray, of course! He lives with a
parakeet, whose name is Sparky. Even though they are not the same kind,
they are still very good friends. Disney has actually made Sparky a little
tamer, because Sparky can see that Disney is not afraid of us. We think
that cockatiels are great pets and could not imagine what life was like
before we got Disney.
