My
hamster's name is Charlie. His color is black-eyed cream. He's probably
around eight months old, maybe a little older. Now, for what makes him
special, there's a bunch of stuff. First of all, he's a master escape
artist. He's escaped about 25 times from his cage (but now we changed the
cage and so far he hasn't got out once.) It makes him special because he's
always finding ways out and mostly succeeds.
Also what's special about him is that he's kind of a special needs
hamster. He has had a few problems; one of them was a skin problem. He had
mites, or mange but he was taken to the vet and treated successfully. Also
his foot had a cut, which then formed kind of a lump. So it might have
hurt when he was exercised in his wheel, but I don't think so because it
has healed. Even then, he fought that battle to survive and I admire him
because he tries the hardest he can to please, and doesn't really fuss
about things. Another special thing about him is that he's an amazing
climber and I have this pillow that's about four feet long. I hold it up in
the air and he starts climbing all the way to the top! And of course I
make sure there's a pillow at the bottom in case he falls. But that's why
he's really special to me.
Even though he had some problems in the past and will have more in the
future, he still fights to live on every day and it would be nice to show
that. In my mind he's Pet of the Day every day. He's very special to me.
