This
is Summer, my Sun Conure. She was hatched in February of 1993. I
got her in May of the same year. She is a very sweet bird. She loves to
cuddle, sit on my shoulder and climb around inside my shirt. She also
enjoys being scratched just about anywhere. She'll roll over on her back
and want me to scratch her tummy. She actually laid an egg in my shirt
once when I was sitting on the couch. I stood up, she crawled out the
top of my shirt and an egg rolled out the bottom.
She's loud just like any other Sun would be. Even with that one 'fault,'
she's still my little baby. She's not a talker at all. I've tried to get
her to say "hello, hi, come here, etc", but have had no success. Guess
she'll never talk.
I know I could never part with her. She is the sweetest bird I've ever
had and I've had quite a few. Also, I keep her wings clipped so I can
take her outside. She loves the sunshine. I highly recommend a Sun
Conure to anyone who wants a little sweetie, as long as you can stand an
outburst of screaming once in a while.
