My
name is Andreea, and I am the proud owner, or better said proudly
owned by Peanut, my Congo African Grey parrot. Peanut is a
three-year-old young lady, and I have had her for only a few months. She
is absolutely amazing, and the most amazing thing is the progress she
made with us in her first two months with us. She was pretty naughty
when we got her, but she accommodated very fast. Her favorite thing is
to fight with her toys while hanging upside down. She hangs like a bat,
she stays like this for hours, and has serious play fights with her toys.
She is crazy about bells (aren't all the parrots?) and she destroys them
immediately. She learned how to say her name, Peanut, and she mumbles
something else, but we can't figure out what yet. She can't stand to be
left alone, therefore, if she knows we are home, she will fly to us, and
stay with us. She's also a big destroyer. She destroyed the following:
one cable, one computer screen (she pooped on it and it short-circuited),
two chairs, and some toys. She bounces her head all the
time, and she's sooo cute when she walks on the floor and shakes her
little red toosh!
