Fluffy
is a big softie, with the most beautiful nature imaginable. He
never attempts to bite, he loves to suck clothes and lick you all the
time. Fluffy arrived with his brother Sam in September 1998 after
Heathcliff our three year old rabbit (and house rabbit of six months)
had to be put to sleep. Mum and I called into the petshop to get some
food for our other three piggies and we saw a rabbit with two guinea
pigs in the cage (the rabbit is hopping around our house too, she's
Catherine Earnshaw). I held the tiny bundle of nearly all white bundle
of fluff and he offered so much comfort after our loss. We had the
piggies. The day I went to collect Fluffy and Sam, I called in the shop
to get some water bottles for the hutch, and to arrange transport for
the piggies and the hutch, there was a mother with a young daughter (she
was about five or six years old), she wanted one of the guinea pigs and
pointed at Fluffy: "Oh you don't want that, it's ugly, oh its sold
anyway!" the mother said. I made a point of saying quite loudly "I'll
see you two later" I hope she heard me. If only that mother could see
Fluffy now, he is a beautiful guinea pig, now a two kilo bundle of
fluff. He is gentle and affectionate, I feel extremely lucky to have him
as well as five other adorable piggies.
